A bit more about me
This portfolio is the digital footprint of my professional self. I think sharing my background story is important to show my approach, thought process and work ethic in such a creative discipline. My work is a depiction of who I am, but we are so much more than our work. This is sometimes hard to balance, so it's crucial to show and search for the people behind shiny professional portfolios.
My story
WHERE I'M FROM
I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. My Mom used to be a literature and drama teacher, and my Dad is an architect. I come from a household where creative self-expression was always encouraged. As a kid, I wrote short stories, built car models from cardboard, and filled out random scribbles with the bucket tool in Paint on my Grandpa's Win 95 computer.
Later, I studied advanced Maths in high school, which was painful at that time, but quite rewarding nowadays. Then I did a 180, dropped out, and took on advanced Humanities & Art in another school, best decision. On the side, I played football professionally for many years before deciding that school was more important.
WHAT I STUDIED
Then I bubble-wrapped my life, put it into a box and moved to Copenhagen, Denmark. I did both my BSc and MSc at Aalborg University Copenhagen studying Medialogy. These were formative years for me as an Interaction Designer, where I could give shape to my crazy ideas and play around with emerging technologies like VR, AR, AI, and BCIs. It enabled me to work together with talented people at Microsoft Research, publish research papers at top conferences, and spend some time at Stanford University as a Visiting Researcher.
WHAT I USED TO WORK ON
While focusing on academics, I worked part-time (sometimes more like 75%-time) as a UX designer for almost 4 years. First, I designed a new platform for telling untold stories by connecting journalists from the global south with big news portals at IndieFrame. It was fun working in a small startup, wearing many hats and having a direct impact on product decisions as the primary designer.
After that I changed the startup environment for a big corp, redesigning TechGuide at MAN Energy Solutions. It taught me important lessons about being the only designer in a department and becoming an advocate for user-centred product thinking.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR NOW
And now, here I am looking for my next adventure with a diverse set of experiences under my belt. I want to shape purposeful new technologies which make an impact. If any of this resonates with you, don't be a stranger and let's grab a (virtual) coffee!

I really like hiking in the mountains, cooking new dishes with my girlfriend, the Bauhaus, talking to people who are important to me, geeking out on music, and Japanese stationery.
I really don't like being late (but sometimes I am :( ), selfishness, biking when it's rain and wind at the same time in your face, and any kind of discrimination.
